Prestigious Time

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton has obtained the prestigious hallmark of the Poinçon de Genève for its new flying tourbillon, thus entering the inner circle of the watchmaking houses. The 41 mm, 950 platinum case is shaped as both a square and circle and features a never-beforeseen skeleton tourbillon movement, which appears to float. The 60-second flying tourbillon sits at six o’clock, and upon completing its rotation reveals the brand’s iconic ‘V’.

Richard Mille

NTPT carbon – a material exclusive to Richard Mille – reveals its feminine side in the RM 037, and RM 07-01, which house the in-house-designed calibres CRMA1 and CRMA2 respectively. Pavé-setting gemstones in NTPT carbon requires exceptional technical brilliance, and the RM 037 Full Set version houses 250 diamonds on its tonneau-shaped case. Technical features common to both models include the fast-rotating barrels (five hours per revolution, rather than 7.5 hours), grade-5 titanium baseplate and bridges, and a patented stem-crown construction that secures the winding crown to the case. Elegance meets technical brilliance.

Cartier

Taking inspiration from Cartier’s classic mystery clocks, which used transparent crystal discs to move the hands, the limited edition uses three transparent sapphire discs to suspend almost the entirety of the movement, not just the hands. The 43.5 mm case is produced in 950 palladium and houses Cartier’s calibre 9462 MC, comprising 408 parts, and set with 60 baguette-cut diamonds (2.36 cts). The alligator skin strap has an 18 k white-gold buckle, set with 37 baguette-cut diamonds (0.85 cts).
