Dapur Babah Elite

A culinary haven nestled in a pair of refurbished 1940s shophouses, Dapur Babah Elite unveils an impressive visual and gastronomic exposition of Peranakan dishes and décor that encapsulates the spirit of early 20th-century Java and brings the term ‘Babah’ (or mixture of Chinese, Javanese and Dutch cultures) to life in one cosy restaurant setting. Offering ‘food with a story’, Dapur Babah serves up dishes with ingredients and cooking methods that have been thoroughly researched and sourced from across the island, creating a medley of Peranakan specialities such as fried fish marinated in spices and grated coconut, and potato croquettes with carrot and cucumber pickle garnish.
