New Year’s Eve, Sydney
Be among the first in the world to welcome in a new decade at one of the planet’s best New Year’s Eve parties. As the first major world city to ring in the New Year, Sydney is guaranteed to pull out all the stops, with lavish fireworks lighting up the sky above the unforgettable vista of its famous harbour. There are celebrations to suit all tastes, from a fivestar experience of wining, dining and arias at the iconic Sydney Opera House, to drinking in the views from the top of the Ferris wheel at Luna Park, to dancing the night away at a music festival in Victoria Park and glamorous DJ-led island parties. As it’s summer in Australia, you can restore your senses the next day with a refreshing dip at one of Sydney’s worldrenowned beaches. While the northern hemisphere shivers into 2020, you could be catching rays at Bondi.
