The 2019 WAW Festeaval, a festivity for tea lovers, was held on December 7–8, 2019 at the Wonosari Agro Tourism Tea Plantation in Malang, East Java. During the two-day event, visitors satisfied their love for tea and enjoyed a variety of activities, such as tea brewing, tea talk shows, fun biking, and walking in the tea garden, as well as games and competitions with millions of rupiah-worth of prizes. With ‘Tea Up Your Day’ as the slogan, the event also encouraged young millennial visitors to develop enthusiasm for tea. A groundbreaking initiative by PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII), a state-owned plantation company, the festival also served as the launch party of the newly refurbished and rebranded Wonosari Agro Tourism Tea Plantation.
