Saraswati, Bali, May 11

Every 210 days, Balinese Hindus honour Dewi Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and the arts. Offerings are made for knowledge and wisdom, while books, manuscripts and the Vedas are blessed. The following day is a day of cleansing, where devotees head to the rivers, beaches or springs to purify themselves.
